Motor Insurance
Motor insurance is a unique insurance policy meant for vehicle owners to protect them from incurring any financial losses that may arise due to damage or theft of the vehicle. Whether you have a private car, a commercial vehicle, or a two-wheeler, you can purchase a motor insurance policy.
There are two products offered under the Motor Takaful Scheme and the inventory are as follows:
I. Motor Private which consists of individual social car and motorcycle; or
II. Motor Commercial covers those vehicles that are commercially used; with the purpose of profit-making.
Scope of Cover:
Comprehensive Cover
Section 1
• Accidental collision or overturning of the participant’s own Motor Vehicle;
• Fire, external explosion, self ignition, lightning, or burglary housebreaking or theft of the Motor Vehicle;
• Malicious Act
Section 2
Indemnify the Participant if the participant shall become legally liable to pay in respect of:
• death or bodily injury to any third party.
• damage to property of the third party
Third Party Cover
Similar cover as in Section 2 of the Comprehensive Cover
Whether you own a motor vehicle or a motorcycle, the Law requires you to have motor insurance cover before you are permitted to put the vehicle on the road. The minimum is a Third Party cover.
Scope of Cover:
A. Comprehensive cover
Covers financial loss due to fire, theft and physical damage to your vehicle and liabilities to third parties.
The policy extend to include;
- 24 hours Towing and Roadside Assistance Services
- $500.00 windscreen cover $500.00 excess protection cover
- NCD Protection
- $500.00 medical expenses
- $10,000.00 Personal Accident Cover
B. Third Party
Covers driver against liability to third party due to negligence for death or bodily injury, damage to other parties’ property.
24 hours Towing and Roadside Assistance Services (optional)
Motor Takaful First Party Scheme provides comprehensive Takaful coverage for motor vehicle and the owner as well as third party liability.
Scope of Cover:
Loss of damage to the motor vehicle covered as of result of:
- Damage to own vehicle
- fire
- Malicious Act
- Fallen Object
- Third Party bodily Injury
- Third Party Property Damage
- Theft
