FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the difference between Comprehensive and Third Party coverage?

  • Comprehensive: Covers damage to your own car (accidents, fire, theft) AND damage to other parties.
  • Third Party: Only covers damage you cause to others. It does not cover repairs for your own vehicle.

2. How is my "Market Value" determined?

The "Sum Insured" is based on your car's current market value (taking into account its age, model, and condition). We recommend insuring for the full market value to avoid "under-insurance," which could lower your payout during a claim.

3. What is NCD/NCB?

No Claim Discount (NCD) is a reward for safe driving. If you don't make a claim for a year, you get a discount on your next renewal.

  • Private Cars: Can reach up to 50% discount after 5 consecutive claim-free years.
  • Commercial Cars: Usually capped at 20%.

4. What is "Excess"?

The excess is the amount you agree to pay first if you make a claim. For example, if your repair costs BND 2,000 and your excess is BND 500, the insurance pays BND 1,500.

5. My car is over 7 years old. Can I still renew via WhatsApp?

Yes! However, cars aged 7 years and above must first pass inspection at an authorized Vehicle Inspection Station (VIS). Once you have your inspection certificate, just WhatsApp us the photo, and we will handle the rest!
